Abstract

This work is a preliminary project for the "reinvention" of the colorimetric school landscape through a proposed chromatic orientation scheme. It is a question of reinterpreting the school environment through the analysis of reference images -synthesised- from school textbook and the simulation of a new school environment in line with the pupil's mental schemes. We took the scholar group Jean Jaurès in Jijel as a sample to apply our pictorial and imaginary translation model. Based on the analysis of palettes, chromatic wheel and colour histograms from school textbooks, a colorimetric model was selected and projected onto the school space, both architectural and urban. The colour space chosen is the HSB space (Hue, Saturation, Brightness), using the Munsell colour system, compatible and recognised by the mechanism of human vision. The result of this modelling should make it possible to correct the gaps between the child's psychic world of reference and his physical space, which will lead to the grapho-perceptual reinvention of the urban landscape through visual parameters and will facilitate the transfer of the child's imagination to his school landscapes.
