Abstract

The school building is considered as the fundamental element in the educational process and one of the most important factors of its success and of the increase in the level of knowledge acquisition, since it represents the recipient in which all the elements of the educational and didactic process interact, including educational sessions and recreational activities, administration and social relations between all the actors of the educational process. The educational process cannot take place without considering the place in which it takes place, in all its aspects, starting with design, construction and equipment. All this has an impact on the psychology of the students who spend long hours in this place, in addition to its impact on the rest of the people: teachers and administrators. Consequently, school buildings must be reconsidered, developing new plans to implement them in accordance with international quality standards and modern educational models, in order to allow, on one hand, a psychological comfort of the students, and on the other hand, to be attentive to the educational needs and current requirements. From this viewpoint, this article is in line with school equipment and educational reforms in order to shed light on certain fundamental aspects of this subject, with reference to the most important problems from which the education system in Algeria suffers.
