The present research aims to analyze the factor structure of the California Mental Motivation Scale within a cultural context different from its original environment. The scale in its initial form consists of 72 items distributed across four main dimensions: Mental Focus, Learning Orientation, Creative Problem-Solving, and Cognitive Integration. The scale was administered to a sample of 631 Algerian university students, utilizing both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis techniques via the AMOS statistical software. The results revealed a stable factor structure comprising 57 items distributed across the four factors, with acceptable levels of validity and reliability, along with good fit indices that justify the adoption of the scale in the Algerian context as a reliable measurement tool.
