The term poetics has become very popular in the Arab environment, after many Western pens have addressed it, such as what was written by John Cohen, Todorov, Roman Jacobson and others. Through this research paper, we will try to trace the movement of this term among Algerian critics such as: (Abdelmalek Mortad), (Youssef Ouaghlissi)... By questioning concepts and comparing them with each other.
This research seeks to try to answer the following questions:
What is the concept of poetics? And how have Algerian critics addressed the problem of this term?
Our aim in this study is to form a clear picture of the term poetry in Algerian criticism.
