Abstract

One of whose artistic necessities is the creative imagination, which bears the ambiguity that defines the self and the narrative identity in the text, especially when it comes to the altruistic biographical narration, with the fusion of the narrator's knowing self with the imagined historical self, and this is what made me choose Wasini Al-Araj's novel, "The Nights of Isis Kobia", An attempt to answer research concerns related to the implication of the existence of the biography within the novel, It necessarily requires imagination, and the presence of the biography in a fictional form also puts the novel within the framework of realism to a large extent or to the extent that the author wants, whether he is a writer for himself or for someone else? Does this place us between two pacts: the pact of a fragmented historical reality, and the pact of imagination that repairs it?

This assumption puts us in front of concepts related to the narration, being a mental creative process that can be translated by the tools of the text and the characteristics of the creator, by the history and imaginary features in the novel, by the real reality and the imaginary reality, and the limits of overlap between them through the structural models of the text that indicate the theoretical arguments of the assumptions on which the article is built, and through a different perspective. History through the direct testimony of the author and how the text was perceived by him before its formation, and what is the idea that heralds its birth.
