The Algerian legislator surrounded the electoral process with the necessary supervision, care and supervision through mechanisms, organs and authorities. The previous experiences of the constitutional founder and the Algerian legislator in the field of election control are an incentive to change the control mechanisms to obtain fair and transparent elections.
The creation of the Independent National Election Authority instead of the independent high electoral monitoring body had to respond to many political demands and aim to gain the confidence of the people by conducting transparent elections, starting with the election of the President of the Republic.Based on this, we touched on our study of the Independent National Authority for Elections by studying the strengths and weaknesses that show the extent to which the objectives of oversight and supervision are achieved, and come out with fair and transparent elections that guarantee a sound democratic path.
The results of the study showed that the transition to a national authority independent of the elections, perhaps changing the name of the mechanism and its composition is not important, but the important thing is to expand the powers of this mechanism , although it is unconstitutional in formality, to fully supervise the elections from their inception to the objective of announcing the results and achieving fair elections.
