Woman played an important role in strengthening the structures and sectors of the
revolution in the second Wilaya, especially in the health field, which knew restructure and
reorganization works after the Soummam Congress (1956) where many female mujahidat
such as Yamina Cherrad, Ziza Massika, Meriem Bouattoura, Kharchi Malika and others, who
had special training in the field and in centers close to the second state, contrubuted in the
devellopement of the sector and filling the deficiency that was recorded in it, by providing
various health services to the mujahideen and the civilians on one hand, and carrying out
awareness and extension campaigns in rural communities that were suffering from poverty
and deprivation on the other hand
