The Level of Life Skills for Third-Year Secondary School Students A Field Study

Life skills have become a requirement of human development due to the fact that they enable the individual to adapt to the various requirements of life, and prepare him to be an actor in his society and his world. Thus, it occupies an important place in the life of the secondary student, as it is the key to achieving academic success as it helps in building a good and effective citizen in building his society and country.
Based on that, this study aimed to discovering the level of life skills for a sample of third-year secondary school students at secondary schools in El Ashir and El Hamadia in the wilaya of Bordj Bou Arereridj. Chosen life skills were: problem-solving skills, communication skills, stress-management skills and study skills. The study sample comprised 335 students enrolled in the third year of the academic year: 2019/2020. The results concluded that the level of life skills is high.
