The issue of applying contemporary linguistics to the interpretation of Quranic verses and surahs has sparked a great deal of controversy in the Muslim intellectual sphere. There are those who support this approach and those who strongly oppose it. Despite this controversy, several researchers and thinkers have employed linguistic methods in their interpretations of the Quran, believing that they can be highly beneficial in understanding the meaning of God's words. This research aims to explore this topic by simplifying the concept of linguistics, clarifying the permissibility of its application to Quranic interpretation, and outlining the guidelines that must be followed when doing so.
