It goes without saying that voting is the means by which people can choose their representatives in decision-making positions, which prompted most legislation to attach great importance to it, and surround it with a set of guarantees so that its basic principles on which it is based, namely confidentiality, personality, neutrality are not violated. Equality and accuracy, which are principles that must be observed and respected during the course of the electoral process.
The Algerian legislature has tended to organize the voting process, whether financially, by providing all the necessary equipment to ensure the proper physical functioning of the voting process, in addition to its legal organization by surrounding it with several regulatory texts that govern the conduct of the voting process, the importance of which is the Executive Decree 17-23 issued in 2017 Specifying the rules for organizing the voting center and office and its functioning, as it stipulated the composition of voting offices, and the mission of their members, which is mainly embodied in limiting violations that may occur on the day of voting, and may affect the integrity of the electoral process, and may even lead to the cancellation of elections, whether related to violating a principle Voting, or irregularities in the procedures that must be followed during the voting process, which may lead to a dispute about the legality of the voting process.
