Printing and Chronological Development Of Information Sources Between Diffusion and Media Determinism

The study tried to highlight the chronological development of information sources by addressing the essence of the document, and the spread of printing in the world in general and particular in Algeria, highlighting the importance of printing and identifying the technical development of the printing machine and its impact on the development of the document and information carriers, reaching the electronic carriers. The topic falls within the framework of documentary studies related to the study of the historical and technical development of information sources. The documentary approach was relied upon to analyze the content of documents and information sources to highlight the impact of printing on the chronological and technical development of information carriers. The study concluded with a number of results, the most prominent of which is the important role of printing in the movement of book production and its wide dissemination, and the appreciation of the role of documents and information sources in the current era, whether scientific, historical, administrative and legal, which required specialists in the field to take into account these specificities.
