Today, several controversial issues and questions are raised on the topic of prophecy. This is especially with the tide of modernism, which is rebelling against the concepts prevailing in Muslims including prophets’ infallibility. The latter is a sensitive issue as the prophet can be negatively affected in terms of being a human chosen by Allah. Yet, some contemporary writers have been discussing prophets’ infallibility innovatively, i.e., has never been tackled as such in the speech codes. Hence, the engineer Muhammad Shahrour is a prominent figure who criticized and analyzed prophets’ infallibility in regard to their diligence, mistakes, sins, characteristics of human nature, and their communication of Allah message. In view of the serious implications of infallibility’s meaning, this paper explores Shahrour’s concept and states its implications.
