This article tracks the presence of the Prophet's diction in a genre in the art of phraseology
that is embodied in the science of literature. It is about Paremiology. We chose Abu Hilal Al
Askary's book "Jamharat-al-Amthal” (The Collection of Proverbs), which gathered a
considerable number of the Prophet's Muhammad -PBUH- Hadiths, especially the short ones
due to their resemblance to proverbs in many respects mainly concision.
The article contains a definition of "The Prophet's Diction»concept and its most important
characteristic: Aphorism. It also contains enlightenments on the notion of a proverb and its
main features in order to perceive the similarities between the Prophet Mohammad's Diction
and the Arabian proverb; and to define, finally, the methods used by the linguist and literary
critic Abu Hilal al-Askari in his scientific study of this Mohammedan Diction through the
array of Arabian proverbs
