Abstract

The gist of my research entitled (The Impact of Speech Act Theory on the Interpretation of Conditional Particles in Arabic Grammar) is that language is not merely a tool that lies in rules, but rather a means of communication built on understanding between members of society. Therefore, it is a communicative act based on achievement or non-achievement. This transformation was witnessed in the theory of speech acts, which emphasized that the speaker is not content with conveying meaning, but rather performs actions such as commanding, threatening, and so on. This led me to reread conditional particles in light of this theory to reveal their role in achieving multiple linguistic acts, going beyond the limits of grammatical connection. The research was divided into an introduction that addressed the vision between speech acts and conditional particles, then two sections, the first of which addressed the condition as a speech act, and the second the performative power in conditional particles, then the conclusion and the list of sources and references.
