The environment and nature of Numidia and the site in general are difficult and very harsh because of the difficulty of the terrain on the one hand, as well as the mentality and thinking of the individual Numidian on the other hand and his introversion to himself in addition to the main factor, which is the large number of invaders who flocked to the region, the history of Khenchela state is long and diverse contributed greatly to the crystallization of the thought of the individual Numidian in this region, all these factors combined had a prominent impact on the nature of Numidian architecture in general and in the architecture of the Khenchela region in particular Most of the Numidian sites in the state, especially the central and southern region, were affected by these factors, producing for us a distinct urban architecture of a special character fortified naturally and artificially. And they made their civilian architecture fortified and surrounded by military architecture as they made the storage areas of their various products, especially grains, remote and difficult to reach, for this thing the colonizers found their differences, especially the Roman colonizer, who penetrated into these areas great difficulties to reach them and even after reaching them could not penetrate into large parts of them, and these architectural facilities, whether civil or military, used the individual Numidian local building materials.
