This research paper aimed to analyze the semantic structure of the opening sequence of the series Omar through a semiological approach that focuses on the symbolic and meaningful dimensions of visual and auditory elements. The study relied on Roland Barthes’ model to distinguish between the denotative and connotative levels, with the aim of decoding the signs used in the décor, costumes, color scheme, lighting, and music. The findings revealed that the opening sequence presents an integrated visual discourse that goes beyond a mere introductory function, forming a semantic structure that establishes the identity of the work and reinforces doctrinal and historical meanings in the viewer’s consciousness.
