Abstract

The historical trajectory of the development of international trade in the Arab-Islamic world; this trade saw significant growth, driven by the accelerated advance of globalization on the global economy, which may lead to think that such activity is a recent phenomenon resulting from western civilization.

However, this is historically inaccurate, as international trade, based on the export and import of goods and services did not emerge by chance. Instead, it evolved through historical stages that helped regulate and organize it. The study concludes that Arab Muslims made a prominent mark on the history of international trade, achieving a level of sophistication comparable to modern times, particularly after Islam and the great conquests. This is evidenced by their long-standing dominance over trade routes, diversity of products, commercial treaties, and relations with neighboring and distant countries.
