Abstract

This research aims to study the book “A Sunnah-Based Introduction to the Map of the Overall Objectives in the Holy Qur’an” by Tayeb Barghouth, starting from a main question which is: To what extent does the author’s vision contribute to serving the objectives of the Holy Qur’an and what is his methodology in deriving them? Among the most important results that the research concluded are: The failure of the Islamic and Western intellectual systems to achieve the required comprehensive civilizational jurisprudence, the necessity of adopting functional knowledge in studying the objectives of the Qur’an, Tayeb Barghouth’s limitation of the objectives of the Qur’an to sixteen overall objectives distributed over four central circles, the book is an enrichment of contemporary objectives thought.
