The role of Waqf in supporting social solidarity institutions in the Contemporary Islamic society

The endowment (Waqf) is an important source of vitality and effectiveness of society, and a vivid embodiment of the values of social solidarity, and the consolidation of the concept of ongoing charity in providing social life with continuous and renewable benefits, as it moves from one generation to another, carrying its deep implications, in a practical framework embodied by the awareness of the individual's social responsibility, and increases his sense about the issues of his Muslim brothers, and makes him in a continuous interactive movement with the partial and total concerns of his society. This research aims to clarify the role of the waqf in highlighting the characteristics of solidarity and cooperation that are unique to the Islamic society that differentiates it from other societies, by reviewing the institutions of social solidarity that have had a clear impact on social life, and played their role efficiently in the emergence of the Islamic society of solidarity.
