Waste management to enshrine the circular economy in Algerian legislation

Abstract

Waste poses a threat to human health and the safety of its environment, which is why legislation has sought to frame it legally, including Algerian legislation through the enactment of Law No.01/19 related to waste management and control, amended and supplemented in 2025 pursuant to Law No.25/02Which explained the legal mechanisms for managing, managing and valuing them in order to transform them from an economic and environmental burden into an economic resource that can create added value and reduce the dangers posed by waste to the environment and sustainable development.
