Al Maqasid in Lemodernisme Arab Thought - Foundations and Applications -

Abstract

The research addresses the exploitation of maqasid by Lemodernisme thinkers and their interpretation of religious texts based on these principles. It demonstrates that this exploitation and interpretation are fragmented, disregarding the established principles and foundations of Islamic legislation. The aim has been to dilute the meanings of the texts and shift their understanding to vague and imprecise perspectives, leading Lemodernismests to commit serious errors both in theory and practice.

The study presents examples of unconventional fatwas from Lemodernisme thinkers and highlights their negative impacts, which necessitate protection against such foreign and misguided ideas, especially since they mislead people by claiming to base their views on what they assert to be legitimate principles.
