French Economic Projects in Colonial Algeria through Issues of the Annual Journal of the Settlement of Algeria issue 1852 and 1854

The French colonialism has made use of all its capabilities for the sake of controlling Algeria. Hence, Therefore, a number of colonial projects were applied, within the framework of the land confiscation policy, and then granted to foreigners in the form of concessions due to legal real estate legislation dated in January and june 1851-1852. This latter stole their agricultural efforts, and the bounties of their lands. Besides, loans were granted for the benefit of foreign perennials by abolishing the customs system. This latter is a stage that linked the Algerian domestic economy to the European one, all to the service of the French economy in the region which is further strengthened by the transportation to support the import and export policy of various products developed between 1852-1854. Therefore, during this historical station, the journal expressed the French political thought in different ways, and for several purposes, and this is what we attempt to address.
