Religious Renewal in the Thought of Ali Shariati

Abstract

In this study, we discussed one of the pioneers of religious thought in the Islamic world; Shariati contributed to creating a new vision of the Islamic religion away from the stereotypes that the clerics used to implant in people's minds.

Shariati found that we have  two religions, Religion of polytheism and religion of monotheism and human must be aware the distinction between the two religions ; The issue with God is slavery against slavery not heresy against faith in God; and this is the essence of religious renewal in the thought of Shari'ati.
