Methodological Basis for Selecting a Representative Sample of the Research Community

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the scientific and methodological foundations that relate to the search procedures through the sample, which is considered one of the necessities required by the circumstances surrounding the research. Therefore, the researcher attempts to show how to determine: the research, sample, the sample units, the controls and procedures associated with determining the size of the sample, types the previews,  how they are chosen in relation to the subject and objectives of the research, as well as the whole population of study.
