Information Services for Beneficiaries in the Academic Environment: A Case Study of the Commerce College Library in Algiers

Abstract

The present study aims at identifiying the information services provided by the library of the college of Commerce in Algeriers for a better use of their resources. To reach the information required by of the users, various functions, procedures and facilities of the library were investigated for an effective use of the library in order to create the appropriate conditions for the researcher's arrival or to satisfy his information needs. Thanks to technical and practical procedures a set of recommendations were obtained such as collecting, analysing and organizing information and providing better qualified workers with more practical and academic experiences. Communication tools and various information systems should be provided too. All information could be reached either through traditional services or automated ones provided by the studied library.
