Relations within the Marwanid dynasty were marred by apparent and hidden conflicts, especially between the caliphs and their crown princes, in light of the interference of outside elements, which led to a worsening of the political situation and further alienation between them. But after the crown princes reached the sons of the caliphs, the political crises multiplied between them and led to the method of assassinations, leading to the rule or remaining in it.
