Abstract

This study aims to present the vision of the forum of Islamic thought for one of the most important historical and contemporary issues in the live of Islamic nation. The forum sought -as a platform for dialogue bringing together elite thinkers from across the Muslims world- to provide a perfect vision to Islamic unity project and develop the theme of the unit than just a theoretical idea step to a practical project where it re assessed the traditional concept of the unity which was limited to political unity, and it created a new concept that has multiple dimensions; religious and cultural, economic and political. It also collected a group of cultural and religious basics and principles to be the base for this project, Taking advantage of the previous intellectual efforts that concerned the establishment and theorizing of this subject, Bearing in mind all the obstacles and challenges of the internal and external reality of the nation, And the stakes and requirements of power and empowerment. In practical terms, the forum proposed several partial projects that serve the whole unit, such as sectarian approximation, cultural unity project, cultural and economic cooperation among Islamic countries, and coordinating political positions towards different issues.
