This study aimed to uncover the effect of the Holy Quran in reducing the level of psychological stress, in terms of hearing, reading and understanding its meanings, by answering the following question: Does the Holy Quran have an effect on the level of psychological stress? Depending on this question, the following ones are derived: - Does listening to the Holy Quran affect the level of psychological stress? - Does reading and reciting the Holy Quran have an effect on reducing the level of psychological stress? - Does understanding the verses of the Holy Quran reduce the level of psychological stress? The study was conducted on a sample of 39 individuals suffering from high psychological stress and who were deliberately selected from the state of Batna. In order to achieve the objectives of this study, the experimental method was applied by the pre-measurement and post-measurements on the same sample and that was by utilizing Holmes and Rahe stress scale. In addition to the use of a therapeutic program which is based mainly on the Holy Quran as a basic technique. The study had the following results: There are statistically significant differences at the level of 0.01 between the average scores of the sample in the pre-measurement and post-measurement on the psychological stress scale (i.e, after the application of the therapeutic program). Thus, the hypothesis of the study has been achieved. Hearing, reading and understanding the Holy Quran contributes significantly in reducing the level of psychological stress. Also, the Holy Quran contributes remarkably in the disappearance of the symptoms of psychological stress and helps in attaining mental health
