The present research studies and analyses the Islamic principle that "there is no compulsion in religion". It begins with definitions of the terms used in the title. Then، it explores the meaning of the principle "there is no compulsion in religion" and its specifications and proofs. It ends with showing the individuals and kind of people that the principle applies on، as as result، they are not obliged to convert to Islam. They enjoy freedom of religion and beliefs that Islam guarantees for people. The research comes to the conclusion that the principle "there is no compulsion in religion" is decisive. Its judgment applies on all disbelievers except the Arab polytheists and converters.
