The Pragmatics of Arabic Proverbs: “Al-Jamahra” by Abu Hilal Al-Askari as a model

This researc aims at clarifying some features of Pragmaticm editation in proverb literature in the book "Jamharat Al'Amthal" composed by "AbuHilal Al-Askary" This research focused on the most important concept and foundation developed in the western Pragmatic study such as: the concept of linguistic usage, speech act, context, principle of Speech cooperationand intention.
This research also studied the clarification of proverb concept and its literary category and position, and its importance as it was clarified by Arabic culture and heritage. This research proved that Abu Hilal Al-Askary's thought and study of proverbs contain indication sand features which give a firm consolidation to numerous pragmatic concepts and rules in the Western study.
