With regard to the approach followed, the descriptive historical method was followed by adopting its mechanisms in analysis, comparison and conclusion. Several results have been reached, including: the impact of Orientalism on contemporary Arab thought, and the importance of objective criticism in developing a scientific reading of Orientalism. The contemporary Arab-Islamic readings of Orientalism are distinguished by a critical reading based on scientific methods in the field of humanities and social sciences.
