Geopolitics and strategy are the most important modern sciences concerned with the management of states, and there is no way for the state to survive and prosper if its leaders do not master these sciences. Geopolitics also gives an explanation of global conflicts and a map of the stampede between states, alliances and major international blocs, and the strategy gives the road map on which states and global entities are moving.
There appeared in the Islamic world some theorists and strategic planners who excelled in these sciences and set a road map for their countries to follow and explain the directions of successive governments and define their goals until they are liberated from the authority of the individual and the ruler’s personality dictates the future of the country. Turkey and Iran represent the most important Islamic geopolitical schools in the absence of an Arab school looking to the future off the region as an independent bloc, except for what appeared in the form of an Eastern confederation that includes all the countries of the Middle East.
