The entry of Islam into Sicily was at the beginning of the third century AH, and it continued until the end of the fifth century AH, and the entry of the Maliki doctrine was early, and the followers of “Sahnoun” played a prominent role in laying the foundations of this doctrine on the peninsula. A school was not formed until the first half of the fourth century AH, led by the two sikilians Abdul Haq and Ibn Yunus who were able to combine the two terms; Al-Qarawi and Al-Iraqi, and it is evident through their two books: “Al-Nukkat and Al-Farq” and “Al-Jami’ Masa’il al-Mudawwana”, which were spread both in the east and west. They were admired and appreciated for those who came after them from among the scholars.
