The topic of the religious phenomenon in the public sphere occupied the interest of the second generation pioneer of the Frankfurt monetary school, Jurgen Habermas. The central problem in this article revolves around the contribution of the rational and communicative discourse of Habermas to the renewal of the religious phenomenon within the public share. This article aims to approach Habermas's rational, communicative view of the religious phenomenon in post-secular societies (societies of democracy). He worked to exclude religion from the public sphere in its early intellectual stages, but because of the intellectual debate between it and postmodern philosophers, and the return of religious life in the west, he insisted on the need to go towards religion. The results of this article are represented in updating religious awareness, in an attempt to prove the rationalization of religion, and the religiousness of the mind, the role of discourse ethics and discussion in updating religious awareness and phenomenon within the public space, and the importance of foundations for interpersonal communication to get rid of religious closure
