Three months after the signing of the Evian Agreement, according to which the ceasefire between the National Liberation Army and France was stopped, and two days before the official recognition of Algeria's independence, and on the day of the transfer the authority between the French government and the Provisional Government of the Algerian Republic, the shooting took place in Oran from an unknown, creating terror in the popular that were celebrating Independence, neither the source of the bullets nor the party behind it was known. The French studies called them “massacres” and accused the Liberation Army, and Algerian studies called her “events” and attributed them to the secret military organization, between these two terms there is a big difference, the first refers to a deliberate action, while the second sees it as a mere unintended event.
The Algerian and French exchange accusations, it is a subject that must be studied to remove confusion about it especially after the establishment organizations victims of the latest, and French President Emmanuel Macron's recent admission that it was a massacre against the settler on the morning of the Independence Day celebrations is proof of that.
