The Idea of Renewal and the Hassan Hanafi Renaissance project

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the idea of Renewal and the Hassan Hanafi Renaissance project،which gave a comprehensive practical vision of all sciences in our ancient heritage in addition to showing that this renewal is an intellectual revolution in its entirety aims at social change and taking a civilized position with its three dimensions (past, present and future), and on the other hand, we search in the tools of renewal from language as a basic tool for communication and take into account the cultural environment and highlight the phenomenological emotion approach that Hanafi tried to apply on the three fronts: ancient heritage, western heritage and from the reality. Therefore, the central problematic of this study is the following: What is Hassan Hanafi's position on the idea of renewal? And what was the idea of renewal in the Hassan Hanafi Renaissance project?
