Abstract

This research paper aims to know the educational role of the mosque in developing environmental awareness among the groups of society, because of the mosque’s important and prominent role in the educational process, especially what the world is witnessing today in terms of crises and environmental pollution that have affected all walks of life as a result of human irrational behavior towards the environment, forcing most countries The world has sounded the alarm to reduce the reality of these environmental problems, as it always seeks to protect and preserve the environment, by harnessing all governmental and civil institutions to develop environmental awareness and confront environmental problems, and among these institutions; Mosques, which are considered an educational and media tool par excellence for building concepts and attitudes for individuals and groups in most Islamic societies.

Therefore, in this research paper, we will discuss the role; What the mosque can do in developing environmental awareness among the groups of society, protecting the environment and confronting its problems.
