The Right to Access Information and Its Role in the Fight Against Corruption (Reading in Relevant Legislation)

This study aims to research the role of the right to access information in the fight against corruption. After standing in both the definition of the right to circulation of information and determine the legal framework, the study concluded that the right to access information contributes significantly to the fight against corruption, By discovery the aspects of waste, fraud, incompetence and impotence, and to identify errors and abuses made by governments, so that individuals or journalists through access to information can detect errors, uncover the focal points of corruption and abuse of power for personal purposes, and providing a main protection against the use of power, mismanagement and corruption. Which is considered a deterrent to corruption- and other disadvantages- for fear of disclosure and accountability.
