The issue of preventing and combating corruption has become the focus of the Algerian state's attention, especially with regard to strengthening coping mechanisms. Where this study aims to shed light on the most important reforms introduced to confront corruption crimes and limit their negative effects, namely the development of the preventive role of civil society as the most important developments in the Algerian constitutional amendment 2020.
One of the most important contents of the constitutional amendment is to strengthen the role and status of civil society and to devote several constitutional guarantees in order to enable it to perform this role as required by law. However, what should be emphasized is that the effectiveness of civil society institutions as one of the parties to the strategy to prevent corruption remains dependent on the extent of its new roles embodiment, especially in the field of awareness and education about the seriousness of corruption and its negative repercussions on society, as corruption crimes aim to restrict the incentives for economic progress and obstruct the path of sustainable development
