The study examines the most important geopolitical challenges facing Algeria in the Sahel region, and how to achieve its national goals and interests, especially security ones, in light of the increasing regional tension and violence as a result of the intervention of many countries and regional powers, which had negative repercussions on all countries in the region. The study concluded that Algeria’s review of its geopolitical view of the region and its redrawing in line with the new developments and threats that result from international and regional geopolitical competition in the region, prompted it to realize the necessity of building a regional security strategy based on dialogue and participation for all Sahel countries.
