Asset recovery is one of the most important aspects of anti- corruption, especially at the transnational level. Activating this will deprive perpetrators of the fruits of their criminal enterprise, no matter how hidden or disguised. However, the success depends on the extent to which States parties promote cooperation among themselves. In this regard, the countries of the Maghreb, like the rest of the world, must cooperate in the area of asset recovery, especially because of their regional interdependence, in accordance with article 51 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, that asset recovery is a fundamental principle of the Convention, the parties To provide each other with the greatest help and assistance in this area
