National Anti-Corruption Commission under Law 06/01 on Prevention and Control of Corruption

Article 6 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption stipulates that all States within their jurisdiction must establish one or more bodies to prevent and combat corruption. In pursuance of this obligation, Algeria has promulgated law 06/01 on the prevention and control of corruption, The establishment of the National Commission for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption, which is the latest anti- corruption mechanism, followed Algeria's ratification of the international conventions against corruption in order to strengthen the mechanisms of protecting and preserving public funds in order to implement the national policy in combating corruption.
This intervention comes to stand at the role of the National Commission in the fight against corruption by addressing the legal framework of the National Authority in the fight against corruption, then the functional system of this body and the extent of its independence.
