Confronting the phenomenon of neighborhood gangs in Algerian law, Read in Order 20/03

The Algerian society has witnessed a highly noticeable increase in crime cases during the last few years, as violence within residential citizens of those neighbourhoods, wherein traditional deterrence means are no longer effective against this increasing type of crime.
The growing criminality of the neighbourhood gangs has prompted the higher authorities of the State represented by the President of the Republic to urgently put an end to this menacing phenomenon by issuing order No. 20-03 in relation to the prevention and control of the neighbourhood gangs. The order contains significant measures which aim at reducing the aforementioned phenomenon to a minimum whether in the prevention side or in the control one.
we have concluded that the Algerian legislator has given great attention to the phenomenon of neighborhood gangs, as he has singled it out in a special law, in addition to To his great keenness on the preventive aspect to reduce this dangerous phenomenon.
