Obstacles to employing the theoretical approach in sociological studies at the Algerian University

Abstract

Theory is the nucleus and center of science and its main axis, which provides an organized view of the phenomena under study by identifying the relationships between its parts and carrying out the task of explanation and interpretation as well as prediction, so the researcher must rely on the theoretical approach that constitutes the theoretical basis that includes the principles on which the research is based, but the problem of employing the theoretical approach in academic studies and research in general and sociological in particular is one of the most important issues raised at the Algerian university, despite its importance as a framework that constitutes a model of understanding Which directs the researcher, organizes research, scrutinizes it and keeps it away from the diaspora, but researchers face a set of obstacles that prevent them from employing these theoretical approaches in their studies or make it difficult for them to do so, and therefore this research paper came to identify the number of these obstacles through the definition of the theoretical approach, sociological study, the Algerian University, a presentation of the various types of theoretical approaches in sociology, and the identification of the most important obstacles to the application or employment of theoretical approaches in sociological studies at the Algerian University.
