Orientalism in general means the study of the East in terms of its beliefs, customs, traditions, culture and mode of thinking, in order to direct and control it, and then colonize it. That it is othing more than a political concept, which is one of the easons that made it consider these studies deficient and unsatisfactory. Contemporary academic researchers must re-read the concept of Orientalism as a source of modern knowledge, as well as a path towards modernity itself. Our understanding of the real goal of Orientalism means understanding the way we have become. We see the world the way we see it now; Weal Hallaq says in his book The Shortcomings of Orientalism: The field of Orientalist discourse refers to no psychological-cognitive system, which allows us to deal with it like any other field of knowledge. This important fact is a situation that necessitates looking at Orientalism as a partner in oppression and violence, and as a necessary bridge to a different perception of the other once he is liberated from his current .
