This research works on the idea of monitoring the most important changes that occurred in the currentmedia system and the new strategies that media institutions have followed with the acceleration of the new digital environment. This research raises two main concerns related to the professional performance of the journalist. The first relates to attracting and employing “digital content creators” in the current media system’s plans, while the second focuses on the issue of integrating artificial intelligence services in the journalism practice. The research concludes by diagnosing an unprecedented state of sensitivity in journalism with the emergence of new and exotic forms of production for digital content creators on the one hand, and the growing fears of artificial intelligence on the other hand. The fears at the first level are related to the decline in the values and ethics of the profession, while the fears of the second level revolve around the future of journalism as a profession with the possibility of shrinking newsrooms in favor of the machine mind.
