This study aims to describe and analysis the AmericanChinese cultural conflict through the documentary (The American Factory), from the perspective of “Face-Negotiation theory” of the Sino-American theorist Stella Ting-Toomey. This would be applied by using a qualitative methodology based on Norman Fairclough approach in critical discourse analysis. To realise this study, two main paths will be followed: 1)The order of discourse: In this case, the documentary was viewed from the outside as a discursive product of a higher discursive order, ruled by an ideology and reflects a culture that can be interpreted through the context in which it was bui 2)The communication event: Due to this path, the was viewed as cultural documentary (The American Factory) discursive Filmed practices. During this process, we will partly practice Ethnography since the documentary itself is a cultural document that contains data that summarize a reality. lt.
