Abstract

The Arab society in general and the Algerian one in particular have undergone a series of social and economic transformations that have affected the social structure of its different cultural and ethical patterns. These transformations were characterized by their speed, as society was unable to absorb and contain them, which resulted in many social phenomena and negative effects on the societal structure. However, these shifts were characterized by speed so that the society could neither assimilate nor contain them. As a result, it had negative impact on the societal structure and resulted in many social phenomena accompanying these transformations among which the increase in the rate of poverty, family crime and disintegration, unemployment, and marital betrayal. Therefore with the internet use, this latter had increased and issued the online infidelity which is a new challenge to marriage, that often leads to divorce.
