Evaluating the Algerian experience in the field of economic diversification: an analytical study for the period 2010-2021

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the success of Algeria in terms of economic diversification, in recent years. Therefore, being independent from the absolute ties to the fossil fuel sector, through a set of indicators that can be applied in order to evaluate the Algerian experience in this field. your This study has led to a conclusion that Algeria had tremendously failed to reach that goal, and it has a list of many must-do reforms, especially in diversifying the export structure, reducing the reliance on the petroleum tax income to finance the public treasury, and providing a convenient environment for business that helps the private sector accomplish its mission of investment and wealth creation.
