Evaluating the organizational culture appropriate to applying Total Quality Management (TQM) in universities using the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) - Case study of the University of Batna in Algeria

The study aims to diagnose and assess the appropriate organizational culture for the application of Total Quality Management at Batna University, by assessing the attitudes of 70 administrators using OCAI valuation tool through three steps: measuring the current organizational culture and desired future, diagnosing organizational culture gap. The results showed that the current organizational culture prevailing is the bureaucratic culture, and the desired culture in the future is the culture of the group, and this would allow it to make a change in its strategy and adopt a philosophy of quality management overall.
